Specialist health psychology consultancy for organisations

I offer a number of evidence-based health psychology consultancy services for care settings, community and public sector organisations. As bespoke services, fees are discussed and pre-agreed.

Nature-Based Consultancy Service for Care Settings

Supporting Quality of Life, Dignity, and Calm through everyday contact with Nature

Research consistently shows that regular contact with nature can:

  • Enhance a sense of dignity and connection
  • Reduce agitation, distress, and withdrawal
  • Support mood and orientation
  • Improve staff wellbeing and morale

Yet in many community, health and social care settings, access to nature is limited by habit, or lack of confidence in providing a nature-positive environment.

I combine expertise in health psychology, dementia care and ecotherapy to provide consultancy to care settings in integrating nature into daily routines and positive environmental supports. I have chaired and delivered a keynote speech at a national nature connections conference, Rooted & Growing, in Strokestown Park, County Roscommon. I regularly facilitate ecotherapy sessions with people presenting with complex additional health and social care needs.

Testimonial

Marianne provided us with information sessions in our branch libraries around the subject of brain health and dementia. The sessions were run as part of the Healthy Ireland at Your Library national initiative. Right from the start Marianne’s focus was to provide a workshop tailored to our programme. So much background work went into perfecting her presentation, consulting with us along the way. On the evening of the talks Marianne presented her information in a kind, gentle, clear and concise manner. She opened the floor to questions which were answered with great empathy given the subject matter. She was also happy to spend time one-on-one with anyone who so wished. The feedback was very positive from these events, and I was delighted that they were so well received and beneficial to so many. I cannot recommend Marianne highly enough. She is extremely professional and the passion for her research in this area is so evident from the start.
